About TBARC Hiking
TBARC Hiking is an initiative of the Tropical Biodiversity Action and Research Centre (TBARC) that encourages people to explore the natural world through hiking, nature walks and outdoor learning experiences.
Every trail offers an opportunity to discover the beauty of our natural landscapes, observe fascinating plant and animal life, and understand the ecological importance of the places we visit. From forest paths and mountain slopes to streams and countryside trails, hiking helps us build a deeper connection with nature.
Through guided hikes, biodiversity observation, nature interpretation and community activities, TBARC Hiking aims to combine outdoor recreation with environmental awareness and conservation.
Discover landscapes and appreciate the natural world around us.
Observe biodiversity and understand ecological relationships.
Respect wildlife, habitats, local communities and trail regulations.
Turn outdoor experiences into awareness and positive action.

Explore With Us
Our activities connect outdoor exploration with biodiversity discovery, ecological learning and responsible adventure.
Explore scenic trails and natural landscapes while developing a deeper appreciation for the environment. Each hike provides an opportunity to experience the landscape and understand its natural features.
Discover local flora and fauna through observation, nature photography and interpretation. Learn to recognise the diverse forms of life that often go unnoticed along familiar trails.
Create opportunities for students and nature enthusiasts to learn about ecosystems, ecological interactions, habitats and conservation through guided outdoor experiences.
Promote safe, inclusive and environmentally responsible hiking practices. Encourage participants to follow trail rules, respect natural habitats and minimise their environmental footprint.
Bring people together through outdoor experiences, environmental awareness programmes and collaborative initiatives that encourage a shared responsibility towards nature.
Encourage participants to document landscapes, plants, wildlife and ecological details through photography and observation, always prioritising the well-being of wildlife and habitats.
Our Philosophy
A hike is more than a journey through a landscape. It is an opportunity to learn from nature, develop curiosity and discover the connections that sustain life around us.
A tree, a butterfly, a stream or a patch of moss can reveal fascinating stories about ecological relationships and the natural world. Paying attention to these details helps us recognise the value of biodiversity in everyday landscapes.
At TBARC Hiking, we believe that meaningful experiences in nature can inspire curiosity, encourage responsible behaviour and strengthen our commitment to biodiversity conservation.
Our aim is not simply to reach a destination, but to understand, appreciate and protect the natural places we experience along the way.
Our Trail Ethics
Exploring nature comes with a responsibility to protect it. We encourage every participant to follow these principles during hiking and outdoor activities.
Take all waste back with you and avoid single-use plastics wherever possible.
Observe animals from a safe distance. Never chase, feed, touch or deliberately disturb wildlife.
Follow designated routes, protected-area rules and the instructions of hike coordinators.
Avoid collecting plants, animals, rocks or other natural materials. Leave them where they belong.
Respect the tranquillity of natural habitats and avoid loud music or unnecessary disturbance.
Follow safety instructions, weather advisories and coordinator guidance. Carry suitable equipment and remain with your group.
Be considerate of local cultures, traditions, livelihoods, private property and community spaces.
Avoid trampling vegetation, damaging trails or spreading seeds and plant material between habitats.
Explore responsibly. Learn continuously. Protect every trail.
